Lipstick Review: Girl About Town

MAC Girl About Town lipstick

I have been building up to try more out there pinks. While I was in MAC innocently picking up a new foundation to replace one that had finished (see I do use things up!) I somehow ended up by the lipsticks.

Girl About Town has been on my wishlist for some time now. I decided to bite the bullet and just buy it. It is now my favourite lipstick and it gets alot of queries on nights out because it's so fabulous!

Tan Review: Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan

I'm not an avid fake tanner by any means but when I do use it I know what I like. I don't want a smelly, orange tan that takes about 12 hours to develop. Who has that kinda time to prep so far in advance!?

I am the skin tone translucent. I am so pale I am see through!

Cocoa Brown is the brain child of Irish beautician Marissa Carter. I can't thank her enough for bringing this fantabulous tan into life.

Real Techniques: Stippling Brush Review

Back in January with my first wages, I splashed out on the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. I had been eyeing it up for a while and I feel this is well worth the investment. I haven't used any other foundation brush since.

Real techniques Stippling Brush Makeup

Designed by Samantha Chapman a professional makeup artist and vlogger. (You can visit Pixiwoo for tutorials or the Real Techniques website.) The RT collection of brushes come in a coloured coded system, so you can create a flawless finish with the gold handle brushes, enhance your eyes with the purple handle brushes and achieve the perfect base with the pink handle brushes. The brush names are also on the handle which is handy! The brushes are made with taklon synthetic bristles which mean they are cruelty free.

Lipstick Review: Catrice Ultimate Colour 210

First thing I love about this lipstick is the packaging. The tidy, black glossy look makes its so sleek and sexy. It snaps shut with a clicky sound so you know for sure it's closed. My mother always loses the lids for lipsticks. I don't think she listens for the clicky sound!

I have branched out to pink lipsticks. Adventurous! I'm getting there with my lipstick collection :)

Review: Tangle Teezer

You know when you read so much about something and you think to yourself 'this will never live up to the hype'. This is how I felt about the Tangle Teezer. I am glad to say I was mistaken :)

Don't get me wrong, I knew the Tangle Teezer would be good I just didn't realise how good!

I love mine and can't believe how easy it is to brush my hair now. My hair is thick and long, I have spent years and years battling with my hair (I even had to get it thinned a few times!). I love having long hair and I could never imagine cutting it. I needed a solution.

My first Essie polish!!

I finally achieved my goal of owning an Essie nail polish! I was strolling (I love to stroll) through Shaws yesterday and out of the corner of my eye I spied the Essie stand. I turned a very abruptly 90 degrees towards the stand. So abruptly that even another shopper turned to see what had got me so excited. She too spent ages and ages picking out polishes. Sooo many colours and they are all arranged by shade. Heaven!

Yes! It really is Essie!

Lipstick Review: Rimmel - Sugar Plum

Hello! Today I'm posting about Rimmel's Sugar Plum lipstick. I bought this because I was looking for a purple toned lipstick and I wasn't sure how it was going to suit me so I felt this would be the perfect shade to start out with.

Review: Nails Inc - Elizabeth Street

This is one of the Nails Inc polish that came with Glamour all those months ago. Yes I'm a little bit slow but I'm sure you've noticed that ;) This shade is Elizabeth Street. It's a pale pink, reminds me of a Barbie-type pink, or a candy pink. Maybe pastel is the word I am looking for? Anyways, it's a beautiful, soft colour that works great if you are going for the understated look.

Review: Marc Jacobs DOT

I have never owned a Marc Jacobs perfume before. When I received this gift I think I might have squealed! I love the packaging and presentation of this. The bottle is out of this world cute and so fun to look at. I'm a fan of polka dots, as is Marc Jacobs :) The bottle is adorned by some ladybirds/butterflies and a pearl. The red, black and gold colours compliment each other beautifully.

Review: Model's Own Golden Peach & Snowflakes

Two of the polishes from my recent haul. Golden Peach and Snowflakes from Model's Own. My photos here are of one coat of Golden Peach. It's a peach colour with a golden shimmer, I tried my best to capture the shimmer. I don't know if I managed it atall!I like this colour, it makes my nails look longer. They have been getting shorter and shorter recently due to breakage from work. *sob*

Skin Care: Feet First!

Feet I feel are a very neglected part of our skincare and beauty routine. I suppose living here our feet don't get to see the light of day that often but when they do we should make sure they look fabulous. Don't worry I'm not going to post any pictures of feet! It doesn't matter if it's the middle of June or the middle of winter. Our feet should be pampered. After all we do use them for a good part of the day. Walking, standing, running, dancing etc.

My feet were horribly dry because yes I neglected them like so many others out there! I decided to take some action. Into Boots with myself and this was recommended to me.

Winter's Here. Hand Care Time

With the winter upon us and dry hands being a curse of this season I thought I'd blog about my favourite hand cream. Soap & Glory's Hand Food. I bought this hand cream after trying out my friend's one. It is indeed fabulous! I had labs in college 4 days a week and my hands were getting drier and drier from the gloves and constant hand washing. They felt awful. This hand cream has been a god send!

I have also been recommending it to a lot of my friends who I know suffered from the same problem as me through their jobs - working with food, in hospitals etc. Between the gloves, hand washing and hand sanitizers their hands were drier and harder than mine. I even told my dad about this hand cream. He works outdoors so his hands are weathered. I can safely say none of us have looked back!

What it says?
Contains shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow . Scented with our Original Pink fragrance. the most astonishing hand cream ever? You decide!
