"This Limited Edition palette from Urban Decay was inspired by the bewitchingly beautiful Michelle Williams, who plays Glinda in the new Disney move Oz: The Great and Powerful. The Glinda palette features six new and exclusive eyeshadow shades in a pop-out format tin, meaning you can swap and change the eyeshadows, continue to use the palette after the original shades have gone. For the first time, we've introduced two "duo-shades" (Aura and Oz) that are split in half with a different colour on each side. Each eyeshadow features out new Pigment Infusion System®, the propriety blend of ingredients that gives every shade its velvety texture, rich colour, serious staying power and blendability. The kit also features a full size super saturated high gloss lip colour in shade Naked and a travel size 24/7 glide-on eye pencil in purple."

A purple eyeliner has been on my shopping list for quite some time and an Urban Decay eye liner has been on the wishlist. This works great on the top lash line and good on the bottom water line.

Glinda Lip Colour |
I love this High Gloss Lip Colour. It's the perfect medium between a lipstick and a lipgloss. I am not feeling lipglosses as of late and lipsticks are now my go to lip product. I do however see myself buy some more of these or similar products.

Now here are my swatches on the shadows themselves. I have never taken swatches of eye shadows before so I hope I have done them justice!
Here are Tornado, Aura, and Magic. I am obsessed with purple. I own way more purple eye shadows than I could ever want never mind need. However Tornado is a welcome edition to my collection :) The Aura shades are very light, and I think this is because they are meant as more highlighter shades if that makes sense to you. Magic can also be used as a blusher and I love having a pink in my collection as I don't have much of these colours.
And on the right, Illusion, Oz and South. I love the metallics from this collection. I don't possess a silver eye shadow and love the shine from Oz's silver side. I always add a small of gold into my eye looks. I usually out it in the centre of my eye or along the lash line at the top or bottom. South and Illusion are great for the smokey eye everyone is obsessed with.
Here's the card on 'how to get the look' and the back of the box which I forgot to add in earlier but felt that I should!

So there it is the famous Glinda palette. I did my best on this review. I now really want the Theordora palette, why must Urban Decay give us such wonderful products to break our bank balances!?
Have you picked up either palette? What are your thoughts? Or will you be treating yourself to one of them?
Available to buy from Debenhams here.
Great shades! :) x
ReplyDeleteI love all UD eye shadows. They are my weakness! Thanks for stopping by :) x
DeleteThis looks like an amazing palette! How easy are the half and half eyeshadows to use, they seem like they'd be a bit of a pain? Such pretty colours though, Urban Decay are definitely the best brand for eyeshadow x

I love it. Been using Magic during the day and I love wearing Tornado on nights out. I have no problem with the duo eye shadows so far anyways. x
